My birthday has always been a time to me to disappear and be by myself. Normally I turn off my phone and go out of town and sleep all day. Being 5 days away from Christmas, most people don’t bother to really acknowledge my birthday on the actual day. They kind of roll it all into 1 thing like “…here’s your birthday/Christmas gift. Merry Christmas.” So a few years ago, I decided to make a month long celebration on social media and call it #31DaysOfKimberly.
Since the pandemic has everyone so distant this year, many are reaching out and noticing things that they never have before. I was actually asked by multiple people, “What do you want for your birthday.” That question was so foreign to me.
