Kim’s Faves – The Perfect Red Lip! (Really Red)

Mary Kay® Creme Lipstick in Really Red

Mary Kay® Creme Lipstick in Really RedWant a red lip that is sure to stop everyone in their tracks?!

Mary Kay® Creme Lipstick in Really Red is a red for the ages!

I always love a good red lip, but Mary Kay’s “Really Red” creme lipstick takes the cake. I love that it looks great on the lightest to the darkest skin tones. With any red lip you want to make sure that you prep and prime your lips to get longer wear and a smoother finish.

Below are the steps to a perfect red lip!

1. Before starting your makeup and after your skin care (cleanse and moisturize), Apply the two step Satin Lip Set. First apply the lip mask to exfoliate any dead skin you may have, and then apply a small amount of the lip balm. Doing this before you start your makeup will allow the lip balm time to soak in.

2. Blot lips with tissue to remove any excess product or moisture.

3. Apply Lip Primer to entire lip area, extending it just outside your natural lip line. This helps to prevent feathering or bleeding. Allow to dry.

4. Apply Clear Lip Liner to natural lip line. You can fill in the entire lip to help lip color last longer. Clear lip liner is perfect for bold lip colors because it works with any lip color and helps to keep it from bleeding. Dark lip liners can end up making lip lines looking overdrawn or obvious.

5. Apply Really Red creme lipstick with a lip or concealer brush, starting in the middle of the lower lip and slowly working out toward the outer edges. If you use the Mary Kay® Cream Eye/Concealer Brush, remember to to clean brush first if used with eye product. Mary Kay Really Red Creme Lipstick

6. Gently blot with a tissue and repeat application of lipstick.

7. Clean any stray or crooked edges with a cotton swab and Makeup Remover

If you want an extra POP….

8. Finish with a shimmering clear gloss like NouriShine Plus® Lip Gloss in Icicle, just to the middle of lips. Applying gloss over entire lip can cause the color to bleed outside the corners of the lip.

9. Clean any stray or crooked edges with a cotton swab and Makeup Remover.
